First, we insulated the slab with a 4” graphite board that is made to withstand heavy weights. We then used Stego vapor barrier over that to reduce ground moisture. We installed Intello and Solitex vapor smart membranes to the garage, crawlspaces, walls, and attic and densepacked with Igloo cellulose. We also installed rigid insulation board on the basement walls and put rockwool in the interior walls for sound deadening. The final blower door number for this large home was 230CFM’s.
